ABOUT MARIANA MONTES
(Dancer, Choreographer, and Argentine Tango Teacher)
Mariana has 34 years of dance experience and enjoys great recognition worldwide.
She has contributed to the evolution of Argentine Tango at an international level.
Mariana Montes is among the most sought-after tango teachers, participating annually in around 40 large-scale events in Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America. Promoting tango abroad has always been important to Mariana. Since 1998, she has taught, organized tango events, and danced with passion and commitment in over 140 cities and 35 countries.
She has an extensive career and has maintained her pedagogical activity uninterruptedly worldwide since 1998. Her name is easily found at the top of the cast lists of the most renowned international tango events, such as the Torino Tango Festival (IT), Bari Tango Congress (IT), Tango Festival Karlsruhe (DE), Tango Euphoria Tango Festival (IT), Ostuni Mediterranean Tango Meeting (IT), and many others.
She has organized 13 major tango events in France and the United States (Mephisto Estate Tango Festival 2002-2006; Revirado Tango France 2002-2003; CITP 2006-2007, Neotango Fest USA 2005-2006, USA Panic 2005-2006) and concerts with tango orchestras such as Fernandez Fierro, Orquesta Tipica Imperial, Hyperion Orchestra, La Chicana, and electronic tango orchestras like Bajofondo Tango Club, Gustavo Santaolalla, Tanghetto, Electrocutango, and many others.
Since 2014, Mariana has been teaching regular tango classes in Cagliari, Sardinia.
In 2020, she founded MaDaMa Tango together with Daiana Guspero and Marcela Guevara.
Today, Mariana continues to travel and transmit tango, dedicating herself uniquely to the growth of the female role in this genre.
